Tickets are now on sale for my new play How To Have A Baby And Not Lose Your Shit.
Don’t worry I’m not in it.
I’ve just written the words – someone brilliant who can actually do acting will be performing it.
And someone even more brilliant is directing it the wonderful Lucy Speed.
Actress Lucy Speed has a career spanning 38 years, kicking off at The National Theatre in 1983 she is known for many roles across popular film and television, including Natalie Evans in BBC EastEnders, DS Stevie Moss in ITV police drama The Bill and more recently roles in ITV Drama Unforgotten, AfterLife 2 and Radio 4’s The Archers.
That’s the official biog but what you really need to know is that she’s a mum of two, muddling through like the rest of us she also has a wicked sense of humour and says lots of very inappropriate things.
The play is about Alice trying- not very successfully -to have a baby and raging at the world when it goes wrong – because not everyone feels sad when things go wrong. Some of us just want to burn the place down. It’s sweary, messy and angry like all the best things are – it’s got bits where you can laugh, bits where you’re not sure if you’re supposed to laugh and a few moments that’ll ‘kick you right in the womb’ as Lucy so delightfully put it.
If you’re in London get the gang together, Book Tickets and come join us!
Also we’d love it if you could check out our Kickstarter page and consider backing.
